The M1 motorway runs for 200 miles from North London to the outskirts of Leeds. Travelling north the M1 passes through the outer London suburbs before crossing the M25 south of Hemel Hempstead. The motorway runs north passing Harpenden, Luton, Dunstable, Milton Keynes, Newport Pagnell, Northampton, Lutterworth, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham, Mansfield, Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Wakefield and Leeds.
