The Hare Restaurant in Lambourn Woodlands was formerly a traditional Grade II listed village inn. Following a major refurbishment in 2009 it now has a large restaurant, lounge and bar serving light snacks during the day. The Hare's stylish restaurant is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty above the valley of the racehorse. The restaurant upholds its high reputation for fine dining, serving a tempting choice of traditional and contemporary cuisine. A relaxed and pleasant ambience pervades the four pleasant, comfortable dining areas, each with their own distinctive appeal. Care has been taken to ensure the three original restaurants retained their individual characters while adding the new fourth area. The Garden Room is available for private parties and can be closed off from the other areas.

The Downgate is a classic country pub, which is open all day, every day.
Your Hosts David and Janet Yates are pleased to welcome you to their pub, which is located in historic town of Hungerford. Situated on the very edge of Hungerford Common, The Downgate is a fine old country inn where you are assured of a warm welcome at all times.
Good home cooked pub grub is available seven days a week, with traditional roast lunch on Sundays. (booking is advisable).
Good real ales are always on tap, and the Downgate has been in the good beer guide for 7 years.
Good pub food is served with Chef's Specials, cream teas and Sunday lunches.
The Downgate is open from 11.am to 11.pm for beer.
Food is served from 12 noon to 2.30pm and from 6.00pm to 9.00pm Mon-Friday.
Food is served all day Saturday and Sunday.
Dogs welcome.
