The M5 motorway runs for 166 miles from Sandwell (J8) (M6) to J31 (A 30S/A38S) north of Plymouth.

The M5 links the City of Birmingham to Bristol, Cardiff (via M4) and the West Country of Somerset, Devon and Cornwall.
